Makeup tutorial: Taylor Schilling's bold eyes at 2014 Glamour Awards

June 3 brought the 2014 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London, England, and as can be expected, there were plenty of stunning looks on the red carpet. Our favorite look of the evening belonged to Orange is the New Black star Taylor Schilling, who also took home the Editor's Special Award- Congrats, Taylor!

Glitz and glamour

Taylor attended the award ceremony in a figure-hugging sequin embellished dress with white panels, a plunging neckline and strappy pointed-toe heels. She accessorized with a simple white and silver clutch and classic diamond earrings.

However much we loved the ensemble, it was Taylor's beauty look that really won us over! The actress' blonde hair was styled in an on-trend tousled updo and her makeup was soft and natural, save for a charcoal grey smoky eye with cat eye flick. It was the perfect makeup look to accompany her ensemble.

Get the look

If you want a soft and natural, but attention-grabbing, beauty look- this one's for you! Here's how to recreate the look at home:

Step one: Create a perfected base with foundation, using a sponge or brush to achieve the most natural finish. Use concealer where needed to cancel out any blemishes and/or imperfections.

Step two: Using a fluffy blush brush, bring warmth and color to your look by applying a pale pink blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Top tip: the trick is to smile!

Step three: Fill in your brows to "frame" your face, starting by creating the shape along the bottom of the brow and then brushing the color upward.

Step four: Use a small brush to apply matte grey eyeshadow to your eyelids and blend the color up to the creaseline, as well as just past the outer corners of your eyes. Apply the color along the other half of the bottom lashline as well to help the lashes appear thicker and your eyes appear larger! When you're finished, use an eyeliner pen to create a cat eye flick along the top lashline. Apply two coats of black mascara.

Step five: Apply a nude lipstick with pink undertones to your lips to complete your look.
