One trend in particular – the bionic ponytail – stuck out on the red carpet, with celebs like Zoe Saldana , Hailey Baldwin, Elle Fanning, and Alicia Vikander giving the understated hairstyle a cyborg-approved upgrade.
Braided, flat-ironed, and wrapped in thin strips of metal, last night's ponytails came in all variations, bound together by one unspoken rule: the higher and slicker, the better.

While sleek, flat-ironed ponytails seemed to be the look of choice on last night's red carpet, Oscar-winning actress, Alicia Vikander, strayed away from the norm with her tousled take on the bionic ponytail.

Take one section of hair from underneath your ponytail and wrap it around the base of the ponytail, securing it with an embellishment or clip of your choice.
