Milan Fashion Week: top 5 beauty trends

by Hannah Ikin -

Milan Fashion Week SS15 may now have officially ended (just in time for Paris Fashion Week to kick off!), but that doesn't mean that we have to stop getting inspired by the fashion and beauty looks from the Italian shows just yet! We've put together our top five beauty looks from MFW Spring/Summer 2015. Take note, as you can start wearing these fashion-forward makeup looks right now!

1. Coming up peaches

We spotted this gorgeous, pastel peachy look at the Grinko show. Matte orange lipstick and apricot blush were paired with bleached eyebrows and wet look cornrows. We like!

2. XXL lashes

It looks like the extra large lash trend will survive yet another season, and we couldn't be happier that this wearable beauty look made the cut! Update your high volume lashes with a fun kiss of bubblegum pink lipstick, as seen at the Heohwan Simulation show.

3. Fake freckles

After making a splash at London Fashion Week, false freckles continued their catwalk dominance at several of the Milan shows. Barely noticeable, they were worn with a perfectly natural base and rosy cheeks.

4. Oxblood lips

A staple winter lipstick shade, oxblood is back on the scene in a big way. Team yours with an "I just woke up" natural complexion (no need for blush or bronzer here!) for the ultimate vampire chic look.

5. Bright eyes

Max Mara created a dramatic look with a punchy sweep of red eyeshadow, which was extended at the outer corners for extra impact. The rest of the complexion was left natural, with a matte, nude lip.

So, which of these hot-off-the-runway beauty trends will you be wearing? Stay tuned for more Fashion Week inspiration!
