Much to our delight, spring is in the air! The days are getting warmer, the sun is staying up later, and the flowers are beginning to bloom. Naturally, it's time to switch up our beauty routines: over the next few weeks we'll ban winter dullness and infuse our complexions with a healthy glow, switch our our dark matte lip colors for glossy pinks, and even incorporate some florals into our looks!
For inspiration on the latter, we've been looking to the models seen backstage at the Desigual show during Fashion Week. Want to try the look with us? Then just follow our step by step...
Start by trimming and filing your nails in a long, rounded shape. With a manicure block, buff away fine lines to create a smooth surface. Then, soak your fingers in warm soapy water. After a few minutes have passed, use an orange stick to push back your cuticles.
Wash your nails and then dry your hands before applying a nourishing hand cream. Apply a base coat to each nail to prevent staining and help your nail art last longer.
When the base coat is dry, apply two coats of black nail polish, allowing the first coat to dry in between applications.
Dip the pointed end of a manicure stick in red polish and then form small clusters of dots on your nails. Use a enw brush and dip it in white polish, circling the red and creating the illusion of abstract flower buds.
Allow your nail art to dry and then coat your nails in a matte top coat to complete the look.
