The 2016 Cannes red carpet may have yet to see its first statement gown and Hollywood glam curls, but the festival has already witnessed its first eye-catching beauty moment with the arrival of L'Oreal Paris ambassador, Blake Lively in France.
While there's no doubt that the blonde bombshell will turn up the glamour once the festival is underway, the L'Oreal muse stole the show with a more toned down look that celebrates this seasons no-makeup makeup trend.
Perfect for the lazy-girl, the no-makeup makeup look subtly accentuates your natural features with a minimal amount of makeup and takes little-to-no-time to accomplish. Whether you're heading to the office, keeping it low-key, or in Blake's case, travelling to France, the no-makeup makeup look is the best way to appear natural, yet put-together.
Want to achieve Blake's no-makeup makeup look? We've put together a few tips to achieving natural (almost) beauty!
Rather than loading on the foundation, moisturize skin with a serum like L'Oreal's Youth Code Serum that highlights and underplays dark pigments, giving you that Blake Lively-approved dewy glow. Opt for a tinted moisturizer with SPF or BB cream that you can apply with a brush to avoid a cakey, and uneven look.
MATCH YOUR LIPS TO YOUR CHEEKS
For the most natural-looking skin, use a neutral pink shade of blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks to to achieve that slightly sweaty natural flush. Match your lips to your cheeks by dabbing some of the blush onto your lips, and finish off with a clear gloss.
DRAMATIZE YOUR EYES
Lengthen your lashes by sweeping a few coats of black mascara through your upper and lower lashes, and curl with an eyelash curler. Next, apply a medium or light brown shadow to your lid and blend it into the crease. Using a black eye pencil, line closely along your upper lash line, then use a fine angled brush to smooth out the line, giving you the appearance of a fuller lash line without showing that you have eyeliner on.
Smudge the same brown shadow underneath your lower lash line with a thin shadow brush to create a natural shadow and make eyes appear bigger without any liner.
Congrats! You've achieved Blake Lively natural beauty status.
