Having seen her owning the runway at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on December 2, it's hard to believe that Doutzen Kroes is a new mom - only five months ago she gave birth to her second child!
If you've just had a baby (congratulations!) you'll probably be interested in knowing some top tips for keeping your skin smooth and supple while you get back to your pre-baby body shape.
More than ever before, it's important to keep your skin toned and supple after giving birth. Make sure you exfoliate regularly - not just your face but all over your body, focusing in particular on the stomach and thighs. After a thorough scrub-down, you'll need a body moisturizer that suits your skin type (sensitive, dry, combination etc.) Because it's winter, you might want to opt for an extra hydrating cream to keep your skin moisturized all day and night.
It might be a crisp and bright winter's day that makes you want to spend the entire day outdoors with your new little one, but that doesn't mean you can skip on the sunscreen. Your skin is especially sensitive during and after pregnancy, so make sure to include a high factor sunscreen in your skincare routine.
A new mom glow
If, however, your winter is shaping up to be mostly grey and rainy, and you want to add a little radiance to your complexion and body, use a bronzing gel, cream or spray. Build up the color slowly - you don't want the tan to be obvious, you're just after a new mom glow!
Of course, two of the most important factors when it comes to regaining your pre-baby body are exercise and water. Take things slow, but keep motivated and hydrated!
