We love to take beauty inspiration from New York Fashion Week, from the elaborate floral hair pins on the Diane von Furstenburg runway, all the way to the tips of the models' perfectly manicured fingers! And as our eyes are always picking out those ever-important details, we noticed a gorgeous glitering, gold nail-trend hitting various shows, and we love it! Here are three ways to rock gold like an NYFW model...
All that glitters at NYFW
Rather than choosing to go full gold with your nail polish, the Reem Acra show on September 14 had the perfect light glittering wash to catch the eye! Simply layer two coats over your clean, filed and buffed nails; choosing a clear base coat and a glittering gold top coat for a simple, natural look with a luxury twist! Equally, add your new glittering gold top coat to your regular colored polish to add a partytime sparkle to any manicure: simple!
A warm glow
These may be the Spring/ Summer 2016 collections that they are currently rolling out onto the runway, but that doesn't mean we can't take inspiration for our fall and winter beauty looks too! Which is exactly what we thought when we spotted the molten, warm gold nails from the Karen Walker show on September 14, which seemed to give off their own heat from the flawless fingertips of the NYFW models. Keep your nails looking hot and on-trend this season with a molten gold shade, which you can either match with other warm, earthy autumnal shades or contrast against pop blues and pinks.
Dipped in gold
For the ultimate touch of evening glamour, follow in the footsteps of the models on the Nicholas K runway and opt for gold tips! This look is also so easy to recreate: once your base coat has completely dried, paint the tips of your nails freehand with a glittering gold polish. Give your nails a sealing top coat to protect the look from chipping and you are ready to go!
