The tousled chignon
If there's one necessary ingredient for getting your tousled chignon on point, it has to be texture! This hairstyle is best used on unwashed hair, allowing for your locks to build up some natural oils for the perfect tousle.
Ban the brush and tease out the knots with your fingers, before spritzing throughout with some texturizing sea salt spray. Draw a section of hair back from the crown of your head and secure it above the nape of the neck, pushing the section up slightly to create volume. Draw the rest of your hair back into a loose bun just below the pins and secure with a hair tie. Let a small section of hair remain loose around the face and gently twist it with your fingers to create some romantic softness.
Tease both the bun and your scalp gently with your fingertips for added textureo, and finish with a mist of hairspray.
The evening makeup look
So you have the outfit and the hairstyle all in place for your big night, but what about the makeup? Well don't worry about a thing, Nikki has you covered!
Start by mastering her sunkissed golden glow. Once you have applied a lightweight BB Cream and have allowed it to sink into the skin, dust one of the darker powders from the True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator into the hollow of your cheeks, around your temples and below your jawline. Use the lighter shade across the highpoints of your face - such as your nose and your forehead - to blend and give your face a gorgeous summery glow!
Line your upper lash line with liquid eyeliner, thickening the stroke smoothly across the lid towards the outer lashes. Wait a couple of minutes for the liner to set before using a precision eyeshadow application brush to smooth a warm chocolate eyeshadow shade across the lid, and blend with a light shimmering cream shade around the crease. Finish your evening eye look with two coats of mascara on the upper lashes and one coat on the lower lashes.
Complete your look with a coat of glossy pink lipstick and you are all set!
