All eyes were on Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev at the Versace Fall/Winter Haute Couture show in Paris, France on July 6, 2014. The actress looked toned and tan, showing off her enviable figure in a military-inspired (mini) mini dress that featured a brocade motif and beaded epaulettes.
A bronze base and classic smoky eye added high glamour to her beauty look, while her ombre hair looked sleek and healthy. Nina's center parted, straight locks are the perfect summer hairstyle: low-key and classic, it works for any occasion!
Step one: Prepare your strands with a deep conditioning mask or treatment. Sleek, straight locks require extra nourishment!
Step two: If time permits, allow your hair to air dry. This will prevent you from having to use two heat styling tools on your hair in one go, thus preventing damage.
When the hair is dry, give it a spritz of heat protectant spray. Concentrate the spray throughout the lengths of your hair (avoiding the root)- there's a fine line between sleek and oily!
Step three: Divide your hair into more manageable sections as though they are layers- the thicker the hair, the more layers you'll need. Starting at the bottom, grab a small section of hair.Smooth a ceramic flat iron down the lengths of your hair, beginning about half an inch down from your roots (this will help your hair to maintain some volume). Repeat this process until you have straightened the bottom and mid-sections of your hair.
Step four: For the hair at the crown of your head, start with the iron as close to your scalp as possible and press firmly while drawing the iron straight outward, almost horizontally, to achieve a flat, smooth finish.
Step five: Mist with a shine spray or shine promoting hair spray for red carpet ready tresses.
