One Direction rock the Teen Choice Awards 2013 (especially Harry in that open shirt)

They might not have won The X Factor but the One Direction boys have certainly won the hearts of young American fans. They continued their British invasion of the States when they opened the Teen Choice Awards in LA yesterday.

Four gongs for One Direction

Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles performed their latest song Best Song Ever for their adoring fans and bagged four gongs including Choice Single for Live While We're Young and Choice Love Song for Little Things, Choice Summer Tour and Choice Group.

Fresh-faced Harry also proved he has the style teens love when he took home Choice Hottie and Choice Smile. He was sporting his famous grin before and after the performance along with a shirt and jeans combination and his signature floppy locks. Towards the end of the night, it was his booty and not his smile that caused a frenzy. The British singer was plucked from his seat by hosts Darren Criss and Lucy Hale to show off his twerking skills and it obviously impressed twerking princess Miley Cyrus , because she couldn't wait to be snapped with him after the show.

Denim and leather

The other boys also looked pretty cool, Liam was also denim-clad with a leather jacket and we loved his masculine stubble. Louis' quiff looked awesome with his grey blazer and jeans, and Zayn showed off his sleeve of tattoos with a denim jacket and his ever changing quiff while Niall was making the most of the LA sun and arrived sporting shades with his jean and jacket combo.

The boys have been performing nearly every night since their 117 date world tour began earlier this year and although they had a few glitches, fortunately their fans still love them. No one can accuse them of lip syncing, that's for sure.
