Purple winged, as spotted backstage at Shiatzy Chen

Paris Fashion Week beauty roundup: top 5 looks

by Hannah Ikin -

With Paris Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2015 drawing to a close today, it seems like an ideal moment to reflect and take a look back at the best beauty trends to come out of the French shows this time around.

"Look at me" makeup

This Fashion week, it was all about natural, fresh complexions being placed in contrast with dramatic, statement looks including block colors, sparkles and graphic shapes. Let's take a closer look...

Winging it

So it looks like the winged eyeliner trend will be here for another season. At Shiatzy Chen, dark indigo/purple liner was applied to the upper lashline, and extended upwards and outwards at the outer corners into a cat eye flick. This is a great way to wear a statement look without looking over the top.

Gilded gold eyes

Glittery, gold eyes were the order of the day at the Barbara Bui show, with gold paint applied to the eyelids and the rest of the makeup left natural. This is the perfect beauty look to add a little sparkle to your weekend look.

Colored lashes

Colored lashes were another big beauty trend. At Ellie Saab ocean blue mascara was applied to the models' lashes, while over at Martin Grant, the lashes were painted icy white to create a surreal, ethereal look.

Color pop

At Faitima Lopes, bright yellow was applied to the upper lashline and the crease of the eyelid for a guaranteed flash of color with a graphic twist.

Romantic blush

At Veronique Leyory, blush was used to awaken the models' complexions and create a romantic andwhimsical look. This is one of the simplest ways to pep up your complexion in a matter of seconds.

So, which of these beauty trends will you be trying?
