Paris Fashion Week is now in full swing, forming the last stop on this month's whirlwind tour of fabulous style capitals! To get the week off to a flying start, the Chloe runway show hit Paris yesterday, October 1, with floating fabrics, natural makeup looks, and even more tousled waves in the hair of the gorgeous models.
This soft, relaxed hairstyle may have hit the Spring/ Summer 2016 show, but surely locks this shiny and effortlessly flawless can be rocked all year round, no? We definitely think so, which is why we have brought together some of our best tips for how to achieve this look, but without all of the time, stress and heat styling those models will have endured: this is runway-ready hair, but better!
Shiny hair is healthy hair!
Want to get your hair looking glossy and smooth? Well this step doesn't just happen overnight: you need to give your hair some regular TLC. Swap your regular shampoo and conditioner for a more intensive, nourishing range and make sure you invest in products from the same haircare selection as they are designed to work together to fully maximise your hair's potential. Incorporate a deep-nourishing hair mask into your routine to get an intensive treatment once or twice a week, and even go for a leave-in conditioner if your locks need an extra boost!
Style while you sleep
To avoid the potential damage of heat styling your hair, wash your locks during the evening to get the tousled hair of your dreams while you sleep! Use this opportunity to run a rich hair oil through your lengths and allow your tresses to dry naturally for as long as possible: going to bed with wet hair can give you a nasty cold!
Squeeze out any excess moisture with a jersey cloth before braiding it loosely and securing the end with a piece of ribbon to prevent creating a large kink. In the morning, remove the ribbon and tease out the braid with your fingers.
Master the texture
Now that you have your natural waves all sorted, it's time to complete the look with a bit of added texture. Give your waves a quick blast with a hairdryer before adding a mist of curl defining spray for extra body. Finish the whole look with a spritz of hairspray and you are runway-ready!
