Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture brings some of the most elaborate and expensive clothing in the world to the runway, pieces we can only dream of ever wearing. The runway makeup and hair, however, is another story! Earlier this week, we spied the messy undone buns at Dior's Spring-Summer 2016 presentation and knew we'd found our staple hairstyle for the upcoming warm seasons (yes, we promise, they're almost here!).
Messy chic for spring!
The models hair was parted on the side and then swept back into a messy twist with loose wisps and visible bobby pins. This simple look is easy to create on any shoulder-length or longer hair and looks just as good on smooth, straight locks as it does textured waves and curls. Office-friendly yet party-ready, this all-occasion look is a must-try! So, what are you waiting for? Find out how to get the look with our simple tutorial!
Recreate the look
Starting with dry hair, generously mist texturizing spray through the mid-lengths and ends. Use a tail comb to create a neat side part and then use your fingers to smooth your hair back into a low ponytail.
Grab the ponytail and loosely twist your hair down to the ends before wrapping it around the base of the pony tail, creating a bun. Secure the ends with a bobby pin and then use your fingers to softly pull at the bun to give it more volume.
Use your fingers to pull some of the face-framing sections of your hair loose. Secure the side opposite your part with a bobby pin and then coat your style with shine-enhancing hairspray. All set!
