Paris Fashion Week is almost over and we're certain that the best beauty trends have been saved for last! If there's one look we've seen time and time again this season, from New York to London, it's the smoky eye. This classic look has been reinvented for the runway and we especially loved the extra-edgy version from Pascal Millet's show. Pulling this look off certainly isn't easy, but with the right products and a little know-how, we promise you'll look runway-ready in no time!
Often, it's what you put on your face before makeup that determines just how good your skin looks and feels. Be sure to prep your skin with moisturiser and primer to create a smooth, even surface for your makeup to stick to.
For coverage that lasts, even out your skin tone with a long wear foundation. Use your fingertips to dot the product across your cheeks, chin, nose and forehead, and then follow up by blending the dots with a flat foundation brush. Set your flawless base with a dust of bronzer, and then play up your cheekbones with a little bit of pink blush.
Use a smoky eye pencil - like Smokissime - to frame the eyes with black eyeshadow. To do this, apply the color closely to the inner corner and work outward, filling in your lids right up the creaseline. When you've reached the outer corner, created a rounded shape and then line the bottom lash lines until you reach the inner corner.
Line your upper and lower lash lines with black eyeliner. To ensure your waterline liner stays on throughout the evening, go over it with black eyeshadow. Use your fingers or a blending brush to smudge the shadow across the waterline to really take hold of the smokey effect. Finish with two coats of black mascara.
THE FINISHING TOUCHES
To brighten your complexion, swipe highlighter underneath your eyes, across the bridge of your nose and in the arch of your cupid's bow. Lastly, offset your bold eyes with a swipe of lightweight balm.
