Yesterday's conclusion of Paris Fashion Week closed the curtain on the Spring/Summer 2017 shows. And while the past few weeks have presented us with the top hair, makeup and fashion trends seen on the runway, they've also given us inspiration to take from celebs, supermodels, and it-girls off the runway. With L'Oreal Paris muses like Barbara Palvin , Karlie Kloss , and Doutzen Kroe s spotted in the front rows at some of this season's most prestigious runway shows, street style has never looked so good.
From denim in all its forms to velvet and sporty-meets-city looks, Get The Look has decided to take note of Paris' reputation for good style, and show you some of the best street style looks from Paris Fashion Week.
PFW: THE BEST STREET STYLE LOOKS AND TRENDS
When it comes to street style, denim in any form has always been a favourite among it-girls and style bloggers alike. The streets of Paris saw everything from classic mom jeans paired with a frilled blouse and heels, to heavily distressed denim on style blogger Aimee Song, and two-toned denim for a more unique take on the look. Whether you prefer a full-fledged Canadian tuxedo, simple pair of light wash jeans or a cool denim jacket, denim is here to stay for spring 2017!
Velvet has quickly become one of fall 2016's most coveted fabrics, and now, judging by street style looks at Paris Spring 2017 Fashion Week, it's going to translate into spring in the form of bright, over-the-top colours. While style blogger Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea was spotted outside Paris Fashion Week wearing a cool blue velvet blazer with denim shorts, another street style inspiration opted for a bold pair of mustard yellow velvet trousers. Need we say more?
Whether it's spring, summer or fall, a cool pair of black booties has the power to complete your look and give it a bit of edge. Match a chic pair of velvet booties with jean shorts until temperatures drop, or pair punk lace-up boots with leather pants or a winter-appropriate dress.
Versace's Spring 2017 runway along with Rihanna's FENTY X PUMA collection offered a unique take on the sporty look. While Versace went for sporty-meets-city vibes, FENTY X PUMA not only made sweatpants look chic, but acceptable to wear out in public. The same attitude was spotted off the runways as well, with street style stars rocking everything from pullover sweaters to zip-up crop tops and tearaway pants.
The boudoir-inspired slip dress has been making waves for a few seasons now, and judging by Paris Spring 2017 Fashion Week, it shows no signs of slowing down. Slip into a silky spaghetti strap gown of your choice and layer it with a chic robe and booties for the ultimate fall look!
