After attending various Paris Fashion Week events, including L'Oreal's Gold Obsession Party, and walking in some of the most prestigious runway shows in the world, Karlie Kloss took a break from her busy schedule to enjoy Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2017 show earlier today. The L'Oreal muse showed up looking cooler than ever in a red, white, blue and black asymmetrical cut-out gown. The supermodel gave it an edgy twist by pairing the look with black heeled lace-up booties.
Our favourite part about her look? Karlie managed to achieve the perfect combination of soft and edgy through her makeup and hairstyle. While her hair was short and tousled with long, choppy bangs spread out across her forehead, her makeup was made soft and subtle with a touch of pink blush and a few coats of mascara.
We love Karlie's latest look so much, we're breaking it down and showing you how to re-create both her makeup and hairstyle, step-by-step.
PFW: KARLIE KLOSS' LOOK AT THE LOUIS VUITTON SHOW
While Karlie is known for her subtle take on makeup, when paired with an edgy hairstyle, it made her look appear fresh and unique. Karlie opted for a fresh, dewy complexion, swipe of pink blush, brown shadow, a touch of mascara and a pink lipstick to complete the look. Here's how you can achieve it for yourself:
Step 1: Begin by prepping your skin with an illuminating primer. This will set the base for the rest of your makeup and help with that dewy glow like Karlie's. After you've prepped with primer, use a liquid illuminator to unify the rest of your skin. Use a damp makeup sponge to gently sweep it across your complexion.
Step 2: To enhance your cheekbones, sweep a generous amount of pink blush onto your cheeks with a blush brush, moving from the apples of the cheeks up towards your temples.
Step 3: Now for the eyes. Start off by creating depth and enhancing your eye colour with a light brown shadow. Apply the shadow on your lids and just beneath the lower lash line, getting darker as you reach the outer corners.
Step 4: For a more pronounced look, apply a swipe of black pencil liner onto the upper corner of your eyes, following the outline of the eye. Then, coat your lashes with a few layers of volumizing mascara.
Step 5: Finish off the look by covering your lips with a light pink lip gloss for a subtle shine!
To counteract her soft, feminine makeup, Karlie opted for a head full of tousled blonde locks and choppy bangs that sat across her forehead. To get this look, follow our simple steps!
Step 1: Start this look off with damp hair. That way, when you play around with it, it will dry into a tousled 'do like Karlie's. Apply a texturizing spray, like L'Oreal's Matt & Messy Spray onto your damp locks. For added texture, you can even use your fingers to scrunch a small amount of mousse into your hair. After you've applied the desired amount of product, scrunch your damp hair with your hands to create texture.
Step 2: Let your hair air dry. Once dry, use a soft bristle back combing brush to back comb small sections of hair throughout your head to create more texture. If you have bangs, separate messily across your forehead. For added texture, you can even use a flat iron to bend and curve small pieces near the bottom of your hair.
Step 3: Use your hands to tousle up your hair one more time, then spray it with a strong hold hairspray to ensure a look that lasts!
