Looking for a masterclass in choosing the right shade of pink lipstick for your skintone and style? Coco, Karolina and Ms. Jones are our makeup masters for today...
At the Lucky FABB: Fashion and Beauty Bloggers Conference, the three celebrities turned up wearing different shades of pink lipstick. Each one looked great for different reasons, and we're here to explain why, so that you won't feel at a loss when browsing for your next pink shade.
This matte fuchsia lip looks fantastic on Coco, don't you think? It contrasts with the gloss on her hair (we love that she's changed her hairstyle recently, too) and the blue hues complement her skin's naturally cool undertones.
How do I tell my skin's natural undertone? It's simple: look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If they look blue, you have cool undertones. If they look green, you have warm undertones. If you can't tell, you're neutral.
Karolina's lipstick is a mix of cool and warm undertones, which is why it looks so natural on her face. Because the color is so bold, Karolina has wisely decided to go for a soft, natural eye makeup look.
What do we love the most? Without being matchy-matchy, Karolina's lipstick color is perfectly picked out in the shades on her floral shirt dress.
January's lipstick has warm undertones. You can tell when you compare it to Coco's. It's a gorgeous shade of matte carmine pink. Like Karolina, she's played down her eye makeup for a less fussy look. Combined with her blue and white polka dot dress, she makes it to the top of our most-stylish list.
Top tip? Choose your lipstick with your outfit or accessories in mind. Use a color wheel to see what shades look best together.
