Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week just ended and we've been doing our best to bring you the most gorgeous and glamorous hair and beauty looks from the shows. We completely fell for these gorgeous retro waves, as seen at Ellie Saab. Get this gorgeous vintage look with our easy tutorial!
After washing your hair, work in some curling mousse, then comb through your locks to make sure that the product is evenly distributed.
Spray a heat protect spray all over, then blow-dry your hair on medium heat. Once your hair is dry, use a comb to create a deep side part.
Start curling on the side with less hair, beginning with the lengths at the back. Divide the hair up into medium sections.
Wrap one of these sections around the curling iron, working inwards, towards your face, before holding for a few seconds, then releasing the hair. Once you finished, spray the ringlet with strong hold hairspray and pin it up at your scalp until it cools down.
Insider's tip: Don't curl the hair any further up than eyebrow level to create a relaxed wave rather than bouncy curls.
Remove the pins, let your hair loose and shape the waves with a soft bristle paddle brush.
Rub a little styling gel between the palms of your hands, then smooth them over the hair on the side of your head to create a half hawk effect. Finish with a mist of hairspray to bring some added shine and hold to your brand new look.
