The 71st Venice Film Festival has begun, and the red carpet is starting to buzz with some of the most famous celebrities in the world! Yesterday, August 7, we saw the stunning actress Sarah Gadon pose for photographers at the opening night (and 'Birdman' premiere) wearing a classic smoky eye makeup look.
Want to copy the Maps to the Stars actress' look? It's simple, just follow the steps below!
Classic Smoky Eye
You will need: a primer, a matte black eyeshadow, a sparkly nude eyeshadow, a brow pencil, mascara, dark rose lipstick.
In order to make sure your makeup stays on all night, apply an eyeshadow primer to your lids first.
Using a soft brush, apply a nude/skin color sparkly eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eyelid. Blend across and outwards. Also apply under the eye and along the lower lash line.
Take a new brush and apply a matte black eyeshadow along the upper lash line, blending out at the outer edges. Blend up and outwards, but stop just after the crease of the eyelid. Using a thin eyeshadow brush, apply the black lightly under the outer half of your lower lash line.
Use a lengthening mascara and apply two coats on the upper lashes, and one coat on the lower lashes.
To really show off your smoky eye, neaten your brows and use a brow liner to add definition.
Finish the look with a glossy dark rose lipstick and sweep some blush over the apples of your cheeks.
