Rounded heart-shaped face? Check. Long, dark hair? Check! Form-fitting black, peek-a-boo style dress? Check! Black Nails? Uh huh, check. Vampy oxblood lipstick? Check, again... Ok, either we're looking at the same photo side by side or some Hollywood stylist is in a lot of trouble!
Actress Melonie Diaz hit the red carpet at the 79th Annual New York Film Critics Awards Ceremony in New York City on January 6, 2014, looking absolutely ravishing (and a little wicked)! The star's dark look was seductive, chic, and perfect for winter with black and peek-a-boo cut-outs being hugely popular at the moment. The problem? Of course, as much as we love this look, it's one we've seen before... Back on November 7, 2013, actress/singer Selena Gomez wore an eerily similar ensemble.
Both stars wore form-fitting black dresses with cut-outs in the front. Each dress featured a pencil silhouette and knee-length hem. The gals kept their accessories simple with classic black point-toe heels and limited jewelry.
Though each dress boasted a chest cut-out, Melonie's dress was less racy than the one seen on Gomez. The fabrics, too, were quite different, as Selena's had a sheen. Melonie styled her hair in a sleek wet-look chignon with side parting. This hairstyle is modern and chic, perfectly suiting her minimalistic ensemble. Selena, however, went with a romantic and loose side braid, which contrasted a bit with her ultra edgy look.
So, who do you think did it better?
