Shay Mitchell - Pretty Little Liars Celebrates 100th Episode

Shay Mitchell: smoky eye makeup for bronzed skin

Congratulations to the Pretty Little Liars cast and crew - they've reached their 100th episode! To celebrate, they held a party in West Hollywood on May 31.

Among the outfits, hairstyles and looks on show, we particularly loved Shay Mitchell 's makeup. Her smoky eye and nude lip looked great against her bronzed skin, so we've done a tutorial for you to get her look!

Bronze base and sultry eyes

Step one.

For Shay's perfect golden glow, sure it helps to have a naturally tanned complexion, but pale-skinned girls can still bring sunshine to their faces! Use a mattifying foundation (cream-based works well, but bear your skin type in mind) on top of a primer, which will give you a flawless base.

Step two.

Taking a large soft-bristled brush, dust bronzer across your forehead and along your cheekbones. Be careful to build up the color slowly, and in a well-lit room (natural lighting is best) or you risk ending up more tangerine than tan!

Step three.

A gold shimmery eyeshadow will work great as a base color over your lids. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply it on the inner corner of your eyes, and slightly along your lower lash line. Shay has also used a darker, copper shade under her lower lashes which brings out her natural eye color.

Step four.

Apply a liquid black liner along your top lash line, then use kohl (smudged lightly with your fingertip) under your lower lashes, over the copper eyeshadow. As long as you don't have sensitive eyes, apply the kohl on your waterline, but not as far as the inner corner.

Step five.

While Shay has used false eyelashes, you can still get super long, voluminous lashes using a couple of coats of mascara. Try using an eyelash comb before applying your mascara to separate the lashes for maximum effect.

Step six.

Finish the look with a nude lipstick and a sweep of gloss. Mwah!

Next Tuesday marks the start of Season 5 - are you as excited as we are?
