Skincare: a simple routine for uneven skin

Skincare: a simple routine for uneven skin

Uneven skin is characterized by areas of the face with excess melanin, which can be caused by acne scarring, sun exposure, hyperpigmentation or hormonal imbalances. Luckily it's easy enough to cover up with foundation and concealer, but that doesn't mean an uneven skin tone should go untreated! Brighten your skin with the help of L'Oréal Paris' Hydra-Total 5 range and, who knows, you might just decide to forego makeup altogether!

The Ultra-Even Routine

Cleanse

Cleansing is the all-important first step to any good skincare routine. After you've taken off your makeup (yes, removing makeup and cleansing are two different things), wash with the Ultra-Even Scrub cleanser. It's a great way to instantly improve the texture and tone as it smooths the skin while removing impurities and dead cells.

Tone

Toning is important as it removes any last traces of makeup or cleanser while also preparing the skin for moisturization. Soak a cotton pad in the Ultra-Even Toner and slide it over your face and neck.

Hydrate

Ideally, you should have two separate moisturizers. For day time, opt for a lightweight moisturizer with SPF included. This will protect your skin from the sun, protecting you from sun damage and further scarring. In addition, the Ultra-Even Lotion exfoliating LHAs to improve radiance.

In the evening, reach for the richer Ultra-Even Moisturizer, which promises 24 hour hydration, uses LHA acids to gently exfoliate while you sleep, and illuminates the skin for an all-day glow.
