Paris Fashion Week has now come to an end - sigh! - bringing a busy month of countless shows, photoshoots and glamorous parties to a dramatic close. At least we will always have Paris!
With the wrapping up of the runways and the dismantling of the epic Chanel airport terminal, it is time we checked out all of those hot styles coming from the Parisian streets to bring us a bit of inspiration from the French capital! Here are our favorite trends...
Whether you are choosing a new coat or a woolly sweater for the winter months, think big: oversized, boyfriend cuts draped the shoulders of the fashion elite during Paris Fashion Week. Opt for a striped shirt with skinny jeans and a long wool overcoat or cape to try the trend.
Jeans are an undeniable staple of any wardrobe, but Paris Fashion Week had one particular cut in mind: those vintage-inspired, high-waisted pants! Couple with a billowing, 1970s-inspired blouse, a statement t-shirt, stripes, spots, monochrome: you name it, the jeans can match it!
We may be moving into a colder season, but that does not mean that these trendsetters are putting away their colorful outfits for the winter! Paris was awash with burning reds, blushing pinks and bright neon blues, contrasting against those usually black-and-grey clad Parisians!
Spring meets fall
We really did see all of the seasons in one day during Paris Fashion Week, and we don't mean the weather. Many of the attendees teamed cozy fall pieces - such as layers of patterned knitwear and jackets - with light, floating summer styles, or they layered dresses with blouses to keep those summer vibes going!
Hair and makeup
As on the runway, so on the streets: Fashion Week brought a whole lot of natural, relaxed beauty looks to the City of Light! We have definitely fallen for the low-maintenance tousled locks that have been seen on models and fashionistas alike, while the makeup look favorite seems to be the glow of good skin care: get your complexion on-point and finish the look with a coat of berry-red lipstick to follow the trend!
