Summer trends: 4 lazy girl beauty trends that will become your BFFs this summer

by Paige Exell -

It's summer, which means that we're officially amidst the laziest days of the year (you know, that sit back and relax by the pool mentality), especially in the beauty department. Rather than packing on the bronzer, it's easier to rock a fresh faced look and let the sun do all of the bronzing, and as for our hair? No-fuss beach-y waves that require no styling whatsoever, please.

Fortunately, for the lazy summer girls, you're in luck! From zero maintenance dye jobs to 1-2-3 done makeup hacks, the latest trends are commanding you to care less, without sacrificing polish or cool-girl points.

Without further ado, we give you some of the best, lazy-girl trends of the moment.

WASHED OUT HAIR COLOUR

It's the equal parts cool, equal parts lazy-girl appeal of a faded dye job that makes it one of the hottest hair trends of the moment (hence why all of the supermodels are catching on!). Whether it's being washed out by shampoo, faded in the sun, or you're just simply too lazy to hit up the salon, faded hair has a lived-in appeal that should be embraced come summer.

NON-TOURING

Even Kim Kardashian has traded her signature contoured look for the latest makeup trend of the season: non-touring. Instead of a heavily contoured look, non-touring is a soft, subtle contour that emphasizes dewy and glowy skin, rather than super matte or dry. To get this look, all you need is highlighter on your upper cheekbones, forehead, bridge of nose, and chin, or if you're too lazy to work the highlight, opt for a primer and tinted moisturizer or BB cream for shiny coverage.

BLURRED LIPS

Lipstick is one of the most high maintenance beauty products you can wear, especially when it's sweating down your face thanks to the hot sun and excess oil, which is all the more reason to embrace the melted look of a blurred lip. The blurred lip look is just that – it appears as though your lipstick is slightly blurred off the edges of your lip and onto your skin. Simply blur the outer edges with a small lipstick brush or lip liner, and add more colour to the center for a natural-looking, blurred pout.

BUNS

It's no secret that low maintenance buns and top knots are one of the coolest trends of the moment, according to It-girls and red carpet trends. Simply tie your hair up at the top of your head creating a chic look that nobody will know only took you two minutes to complete!
