Looking for a new way to wear the retro hairstyle trend? We've got just the thing: this beautiful beehive with a modern twist, a matte and messy finish, as seen at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week A/W 2015-16 in Berlin.
To match their cute vintage printed dresses, the models at the Lena Hoschek show wore their hair piled up into 60s bouffants with an artfully disheveled finish. Want to get the look? Just follow the easy tutorial below!
After washing your hair and combing it through, dispense some volumizing mousse throughout the mid-lengths and the ends.
Prep your hair with a heat protect spray, then blow-dry your locks, tipping your head upside down at the very end to create extra body.
Once the hair is dry, spritz some root lifting spray over the top section of your hair.
Separate the front section of hair from the rest and clip it to one side, out of the way. To build up volume and create a disheveled finish, use a comb to tease the hair on the top of your head.
Take hold of the lengths of your hair, then twist them up into a chignon and pin it in place with bobby pins.
Add a headband or headscarf, then unclip the front section and arrange it to frame your face.
Finish with a generous mist of strong hold hairspray to keep your new retro chic style in place.
