For her first appearance on the 41st annual Toronto International Film Festival red carpet, L'Oreal Paris muse and actress Naomi Watts decided to salvage what's left of summer and show off her more carefree, bohemian side. The actress posed alongside her husband and co-star Liev Schreiber wearing a floor-length, ruffled floral gown, nude makeup, and voluminous curls that gave her hippie-chic style major sex appeal.
Naomi's latest red carpet look is a major change-up from the soft pinks and sophisticated looks we're used to seeing her wear! That's why we've decided to decrypt her boho side, piece by piece, and encourage you to extend the summer like Naomi!
NAOMI WATTS: BOHO-CHIC AT TIFF 2016
A ROBERTO CAVALLI CREATION
For her September 10th appearance at the premiere of The Bleeder, Naomi wore a purple Roberto Cavalli creation adorned with colourful bohemian-esque florals, small ruffles, a matching belt at the waist, and a plunging neckline that showed off her slender silhouette. We love that the dark purple dress both contrasted against her pale, dewy complexion and enhanced her perfect blonde hair!
The outfit was completed with a pair of wooden heel sandals and gold metal accessories that complimented her boho appeal.
A HIPPIE-CHIC MAKEUP LOOK
In staying true to her new, carefree style, Naomi decided to pair her pretty floral gown with soft, gold and nude makeup that gave her a natural, summer look. Her complexion was dewy and glowing with the help of a liquid foundation and a touch of highlighter on her cheekbones, nose, and chin. Meanwhile, her eyes lit up the red carpet with a shimmery gold shadow placed on her upper and lower lash lines that enhanced her bright baby blues. But most of the attention was placed on her lashes, which displayed an unparalleled volume.
To complete her makeup, Naomi opted for a peach-y, nude shade of lipgloss that added the cherry on top of her summer look!
Just when you thought voluminous curls and chin-length hair weren't a match, Naomi Campbell rocked the duo on the red carpet, inspiring short-haired women to try the look for themselves. Her curls were large and disheveled, complimenting her boho-chic look.
To recreate her look, start by working a volumizing mousse into your damp hair from root to tip. Separate your hair down the centre (or your preferred part) then use a diffuser to dry your hair. Next, spray your locks with a thin veil of thermal protective spray, then curl your strands from root to tip with a large barrel curling iron. Start the curls about 1-inch down from your root, and the ends of your hair out of the barrel when curling to keep them straight and achieve that beach-y look.
To finish off, run your fingers through your hair to push the curls down slightly, then spray your head with a volumizing hair spray and scrunch the hair with your fingers for added texture.
