TIFF video interview: Julianne Moore at 'Maggie's Plan' premiere!

by Samantha Hunt -

Saturday evening, September 12, saw the premiere of Maggie's Plan hit the red carpet of the Toronto International Film Festival, and the L'Oréal Paris team were right there at the Princess Wales Theatre to bring us even closer to all of the festival action!

This exclusive new TIFF video gives an unbeatable carpet-side view of the stars arriving for the premiere in all of their glamour, focusing - of course!- on the flawless actress and L'Oréal Paris ambassador Julianne Moore. The 54-year-old star stepped out for the evening in an elegant black Valentino Couture gown from the 2015 collection, with sheer sleeves and black velvet piping, which she then teamed with an elegant updo and a high-glamour evening makeup look: unparalleled style!

'Life as you would like it to be'

Beauty correspondent Gina Deyoung got the opportunity to catch up with Julianne and tease out her thoughts on Maggie's Plan:

Julianne Moore: I hope people enjoy themselves! I think one of the things that is wonderful about this film is that it's a slightly elevated tone. This all springs from Rebecca's really wonderful, creative and imaginative mind. It's almost as if it's life as you would like it to be, maybe not life as it really is, you know, which I think is a fantastic thing to experience in a film.

Notes from the director

The interview then turns to American director Rebecca Miller to get her inside opinion on what it is like to work with the Academy Award winner:

Rebecca Miller: Well Julianne is a dream to work with. She's very effervescent on set, she's very generous with herself, she's very specific, she's super prepared.

To get the full behind-the-scenes perspective on Julianne's presence away from the cameras, Gina then finished off her interview with a small chat with actress Mina Sundwall, who also had tell-tale experiences to share with the L'Oréal Paris cameras. Check out the video above to get Mina's side of the story and stick with us for more TIFF coverage to come!
