What hairstyle are you going to be wearing next fall? We've got five fabulous suggestions, pulled straight off the runway. From braids to bangs, long or short, you've got so many options that there's no excuse not to update your style. You've got time to decide!
Don't catch cold next winter -try these full, face-framing bangs in a warm chocolate shade. Get the volume in your fringe by blowdrying it using a barrel brush. Your bangs should stop at eyebrow level, but make sure that your face shape suits the style before you chop! This look was from the Rebecca Taylor show.
Be strict with your hair
Helmut Lang chose a very different look for his models. A flexible hairband with teeth is the answer behind this stripey-looking, tightly pulled-back style. A gel will give you the definition and hold you need. Play with contrasts by leaving the back of your hair in a loose and relaxed ponytail.
VBP?? Visible Bobby Pin, of course - just like we saw on Kate Mara recently! This look works especially well with blonde hair. The lighter the better, and the more visible the bobby pin is. For the sideswept fringe, give yourself a side part, push the hair forward and over your forehead, then pin. Use hairspray (close your eyes) to stop the hair from coming loose.
This look is not for wallflowers! The mohawk is one of the most daring styles you could go for, and this one that we saw on the Dominic Louis runway is the boldest of them all. The hair is shaved to buzz-cut length on the sides, then the feathery effect is achieved by lightly crimping your hair. Use the palms of your hands to spread a scuplting wax upwards through the hair for height and hold.
Forget side braids, the stylists for the Tibi show went for a tight French braid right down the middle of the head. Use a tail comb for precision, then use a curling iron to create loose waves. It's the kind of style that will make people look twice!
