Blake Lively at Cannes 2014

Top 5: our favorite red carpet gowns from Cannes 2014

Now that Cannes 2014 is over, it's time for us at Get the Look to finish up our festival coverage... until next year, that is! Today we've rounded up our top 5 favorite gowns straight from the Croisette! Will you agree with our winners? Let's take a look...

1. Blake Lively in Chanel

Blake Lively stole the show at the Mr. Turner premiere on Thursday, May 15. The actress and L'Oreal Paris ambassador donned a shimmery Chanel couture gown that accentuated her curves in all the right ways!

A brainchild of fashion powerhouse Chanel, the optical illusion dress cinches in at the waist but juts out at the hips and around the ribs, projecting the illusion of an exceptionally petite frame. As for the material, the handsewn paillettes glistened in the Cannes sunlight creating a truly dreamy look.

2. Aishwarya Rai in Roberto Cavalli

A single gold bangle complimented Aishwarya Rai's stunning gilded gown by Roberto Cavalli. This highly detailed, fully embellished gown screamed Old Hollywood glamour, and Aish teamed it with big, voluminous waves, XXL lashes and a bold red lip for a red carpet look that was classic and sophisticated.

3. Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Gucci

Rosie Huntington-Whitely dazzled on the red carpet at the premiere of The Search. In a shimmering soft jade gown with metallic silver beading by Gucci Premiere, the British babe looked ethereal and statuesque. She paired the look with cascading, shiny blonde waves and a natural, soft bronzed look.

4. Freida Pinto in Michael Kors

Indian actress Freida Pinto looked breath-taking in a custom made Michael Kors nude tulle gown. The delicate number was decorated with ombre sequins and feathers that grazed the ground. The star teamed her look with high-shine waves and a bold red lip- fierce!

5. Uma Thurman in Marchesa

We loved Uma Thurman's white Marchesa dress so much we thought it deserved two images! The gown featured detailed embroidered bird appliques that started on the décolletage and continued down the front, along the sides, and wrapped around to the back. Strategic sheer panels at the top made the dress appear off-the-shoulder rather than crew-necked. Paired with a nude beauty look and tousled updo, Uma was truly stunning.

So, what do you think? Which red carpet looks were your favorite?
