Two makeup looks to pair with a wet look hairstyle

From the runway to the red carpet, wet look hairstyles have become increasingly popular over the last few seasons. We most recently spotted actress Kate Mara and supermodel Chrissy Teigen sporting the look and, while we love to see the style on Hollywood's most famous (and beautiful) faces, we had to wonder: does anyone wear this hairstyle in real life?

The wet look hairstyle is definitely a high fashion choice for everyday, but when paired with the right makeup- it's a statement-making look that's sure to turn a few heads without leaving anyone scratching theirs. Trust us!

Kate and Chrissy both recently hit the red carpet with two perfectly inspiring makeup options to pair with a wet look hairstyle, so, if you're looking for a way that you too can try the trend, look no further!

Kate's look

On June 17, Kate attended the 2014 Summer Party presented by Coach and Friends of the Highline in New York City. Her look featured a wet look hairstyle with on-trend faux undercut, which she wisely paired with a nude beauty look and edgy smoky eye, for an overall style that was current and edgy without going overboard.

To get the look, start by evening out your complexion with a mattifying foundation and adding a touch of moisture and shine to your lips with a balm. Use black eyeshadow to create a smoky eye and then add definition and length to your lashes with black mascara.

Chrissy's look

On June 16, Chrissy attended the 2014 Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City. The model wore her glossy brown locks sleek and straight, with a touch of gel along the roots for a subtle wet look. She paired the hairstyle with a beauty look that focused on a warm, glowing complexion through the use of bronzer and light-reflecting products. It was the perfect choice for a summer look!

To get the same, create a dewy glow by using a BB cream instead of foundation, as well as a blush and bronzer in a cream formula rather than a powder one. Finish off your look with a lustrous coral lip color and you're all set!

Which look will you be trying?
