Even with fractured bones and a bandage on her hand, actress Vanessa Hudgens still finds a way to flawlessly pull off a red carpet appearance! On August 19, the 26-year-old star stepped out for the Dance Industry Awards in Los Angeles in a backless, mustard-yellow gown with a leather belt and halter-neck straps, which she then complemented with a super long, super sleek ponytail and a warm, bronzed makeup look.

From cat eye flicks to pop lip shades, this High School Musical star has always known how to be audacious and versatile while still being gorgeously on-trend with her makeup look! Dark caramel and cinnamon lip shades can be tough to pull off but Vanessa has mastered this new trend with ease, giving us a bit of inspiration for our Fall makeup palette to come. Has this look caught your eye too? Here's how it's done...
To start, smooth an illuminating makeup primer over moisturized skin. This will give your makeup some staying power while also providing a reflective canvas on which to begin your look. Next, apply a matte foundation with a soft foundation brush, dotting the liquid on to the back of your hand before applying with the brush to the center of the face and working outwards towards the hairline. Once the foundation has settled, add a hint of blush to the apples of your cheeks.
Next, give your brows some old fashioned TLC! Start by combing the hairs in an upwards direction with a spoolie and fill the body of the brow with short upward dashes of brow pencil. Comb through in the same direction once again before applying a tinted brow gel to fix the shape in place all night long!
Next stop, the eyes. Use a dark brown eyeliner to define the lash line, giving a softer, smudged color than a liquid liner. Select a warm, reddish bronze shade with a hint of shimmer like Vanessa's and dust across the lid, around the tearduct and below the lower lashes with a soft headed brush. For a real dazzle, apply a hint of gold eyeshadow under the lower lashes and around the tearduct. Finish this step with two coats of thickening mascara.
Finally, let's get to the lips! Make sure your lips are fully exfoliated to get rid of any dryness and let a balm soak into your pout for a few minutes before you hit the color. Start by defining the lips with a lip liner to keep your shade in place all night long, before picking a dark, delicious caramel shade with a hint of shimmer. Smooth on this sweet shade and you are ready for anything!
