On Wednesday evening, April 9, Kate Bosworth attended the Museum of the Moving Image 28th Annual Salute Honoring Kevin Spacey. Kate looked fabulous in a 1960s-inspired shift dress made of white quilted fabric with crystal floral embellishments sewn all over. A pale pink silk cape was attached at the shoulders, and also tied into an oversized bow at the front of the gown.
While we loved Kate's romantic ensemble, it was her hairstyle that caught our eye. The 31-year old actress styled her new strawberry blonde locks into a voluminous bun updo. It's a look that can be worn for any special occasion, but would be especially fitting for a wedding. Why? The classic look is simple to create, can accommodate any kind of neckline, and can easily be accessorized with flowers, a veil, or even a tiara. It's romantic and soft, styled without being overly formal, and altogether lovely! Fancy getting the look?
Love the look
Step one: Starting with wet hair, apply a volume-boosting serum to the roots of your hair, massaging the product into the scalp. As you blow dry the hair, start with the roots, using a round brush to push the hair forward (in the direction of your face). Then, move down toward the ends, using the brush to create loose curls.
Step two: Once the hair is dry, create a part that is 1.5" from the hairline, going from one ear to the other. You'll smooth this hair back, later.
Step three: Use a comb to tease the hair on the top and crown section of the head. Then, let the hair you secured earlier loose, and use your hands to smooth it over the teased sections. Secure all of the hair at the back of the head into a loose bun.
Step four: Pull a few mini-wisps of hair out of the bun.
Step five: Spray your hair all over with a strong-hold hairspray to keep it secure all day.
We love it! Do you?
