Black lace with nude underlay is now very popular among stars, such as Kate Hudson at the Oscars after-party

World Mastercard Fashion Week S/S 2014: favorite celebrity trends

Just how much power do Fashion Weeks really have? How influential are they on our - and our favorite celebrities' - wardrobes? We've taken a look at the hottest outfits at the World Mastercard Fashion Week back in October to see which stars have since been seduced by the runway trends!

From catwalk to celebrity closet

Who hasn't seen a gorgeous black lace dress with nude underlay on the red carpet recently? Just the other day, at the Oscars after-party, Kate Hudson wore a super sexy gown very similar to the one on Mikael D's runway. Both featured the same plunging neckline and wow factor!

Cut-out panels

How to be sexy without being over-the-top? With a few hints of skin, and a cleverly-designed dress. Amy Adams' cut-out paneled black dress reminded us of the brilliant curving cut-out frock by Mickael D.

If Kiernan Shipka wears it, then it's officially on-trend. While it's no surprise that florals are popping up again on the red carpet, some celebrities have been working the trend for a few months already. This babydoll dress that Kiernan wore in December was just as cute as the one we saw by Tatsuaki on the runway.

Crop tops

Whether you love it or you hate it, the crop top has been steadily climbing the echelons of fashion since last fall. We saw several by designer Cara Cheung, and it seems that they're especially popular when paired with graphic or unusual prints and textures, like the skirt Tika Sumpter wore for DIRECTV's Super Saturday Night in February.

Let's move onto hair. Without doubt, the most popular hairstyle at the moment has to be the braid. From fishtail to crown, everyone's working a braided look! Way back in October 2013 we saw this gorgeous side braid on the Stephen Caras models, which looked almost identical to Kerry Washington's at the NAACP Image Awards in February.

Now the big question: Which trends are here to stay, and which will fade away...?
