Catherine Ann Bosworth, also known as Kate Bosworth, was born in California on January 2, 1983. From birth, Kate was diagnosed with the condition heterochromia iridum, a defect in which each eye has a different color: one hazel and one blue. In her youth, she traveled around the United States a great deal as her father needed to relocate for his job as an executive for Talbots. She always wanted to be a horse racer and won the title of champion equestrian at the age of fourteen.
After the release of the movie Blue Crush in 2002, Kate Bosworth was officially part of the Hollywood world. She played the leading role in the surfing movie. Another acclaimed role that Kate played was alongside Val Kilmer in the 2003 movie, Wonderland. She also played the role of the famous Lois Lane in the movie Superman Returns (2006).
Kate is a natural blonde and loves to sport her natural hair color, but has been seen with brunette hair for her role in Wonderland. She usually wears her hair in a sophisticated, classic style with a middle part to help frame her face. Not scared of short hair, Kate wears a chic bob-style cut, which is suitable for medium textured hair. She likes her curled bangs too as it hides a cowlick, she admits. To add volume to her hair, Kate has short, jagged layers throughout.
