Born in Mierlo, Holland on December 20th 1982, Lara Catherina Stone is a 1.78m model, who is married to the British comedian, David Walliams. Thanks to her height and stunning bone structure, Lara was spotted by a model scout during a family vacation to Paris at the age of 14, and she was signed to the modelling agency Elite shortly afterwards.
Moving to another agency, IMG Models in 2006, Lara made her first catwalk appearance in the same city where her modelling potential was first spotted – Paris. Her first shows were for Givenchy, but soon after, she became an exclusive for all three of Calvin Klein Inc.'s brands. She's since modelled at high-profile fashion shows for a whole host of world-famous designers including Fendi, Maxmara and Chanel. The pinnacle of her career came in 2009 when she featured on the front cover of American Vogue magazine.
As a stunning, tall, fair-haired catwalk model, it would be fair to say that Lara Stone has had a pretty big influence on fashion, style and the beauty industry. Her trademark long, blonde hair is usually worn straight, emphasising her glamorous model's pout. She's often photographed wearing smoky eyeshadow coupled with dark mascara, which contrasts strikingly with her fair, European complexion and light hair color. Most importantly, girls across the world who have a gap between their teeth – once considered unattractive – will be forever grateful to Lara for turning this into a super-fashionable attribute.
