Lizzy Caplan

Born on June 30th, 1982 in Los Angeles, Elizabeth Anne Caplan is better known simply as Lizzy. Born to a Jewish family, Lizzy showed promise as a musician from a young age and went on to study music until her teenage years. Only when she was in her late teens did Lizzy change her focus from music to acting and the rest, as they say, is history.

Lizzy's acting career began at the age of 17 when she landed a part in the popular series, 'Freaks and Geeks' alongside Jason Segel. Subsequently, she starred in several other television shows including 'Smallville' and 'Once and Again'. But it was in 2004 that Lizzy's career really took off, when she successfully auditioned for the part of Janis in the hit comedy, 'Mean Girls'.

Hollywood directors began to notice Lizzy's relaxed ability in front of the cameras, and the offers of work in other movies began to pour in. She has appeared in movies of all types, ranging from the gripping '127 Hours' to the comedy 'Hot Tub Time Machine'. Lizzy also appeared in the science fiction movie, 'Cloverfield' which was released in 2008, where she played the part of Marlena Diamond. For this role, Lizzy was nominated for a Saturn Award as Best Supporting Actress.

Lizzy's look could be described as natural but quirky. She is a big fan of statement eyeliner and dazzling red lipstick, and she can rock an edgy, choppy hairstyle like no other girl in Hollywood. And yet somehow she combines this with girl-next-door cuteness – is that a perfect combination or what?
