Patrick Dempsey, who plays the famous Dr Shepherd in the hit American TV series Grey's Anatomy, is the definition of charm and good looks.
Kind-hearted and dashingly sexy, the actor is particularly well-known for his countless roles in successful romantic comedies. The actor with permanently smiling eyes has made us swoon in films Made of Honour, Can't Buy Me Love and Lover Boy.
But his success doesn't stop at cinema. Dempsey is a huge admirer of the small screen and is highly regarded for his interpretation of Aaron Brooks, the mentally unstable brother in Once & Again, which earned him a nomination at the Emmy Awards in 2001. In 2003, he also appeared in the successful TV series Will & Grace, in which he played Will's lover.
Hugely involved in charity work, Patrick Dempsey is an active member of American organisations The Wellness Center and the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. On 13 and 14 June 2009, he took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race. The dashing actor took to the wheel of Team Seattle Advanced Engineering's Ferrari F430 to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital and the French organisation Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque – Enfants du monde, which aims to fund surgery for children with heart problems all over the world.
