After famously beginning his career as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, Canadian heartthrob Ryan Gosling became an internationally known entity after starring in The Notebook with Rachel McAdams in 2004.
When the Mickey Mouse Club came to an end in 1995, Ryan went on to appear in a number of television shows in Canada including Are you Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps and Young Hercules.
Following these particular endeavors, Ryan decided to take his career in a more serious direction by working on a number of lesser-known independent films such as Remember the Titans and Murder by Numbers. Later, in 2004, it was The Notebook that really sent his career skywards after the movie quickly became something of a romantic classic.
Following the success of The Notebook, Ryan landed a number of high-profile roles in movies including Stay and Fracture. More recently, Ryan has appeared in Drive, The Place Beyond The Pines and Only God Forgives.
On top of a wildly successful acting career, Ryan is also a committed activist, working alongside charities such as PETA and Invisible Children Inc.
