Shania Twain

Hailing from Windsor, Ontario, Shania Twain is a pop/country crossover artist who, some might say, was Taylor Swift before Taylor Swift was Taylor Swift. Having sold over 75 million records worldwide, she became the most successful female artist in the history of country.

In 1997, she released Come On Over, the album that kick started her career on both sides of the Atlantic and introduced many a nineties child to country music. Since then, her career skyrocketed, especially in North America, with two tours, another album –Up – in 2002, a hiatus from the industry in 2005 and a high-earning residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas until December 14 2013.

Twain is also the woman who, in 2001, was named PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian.

Where beauty is concerned, Shania Twain has stuck to a glamorous and very elegant formula that often involved flowing hairstyles and understated makeup on the red carpet. Safe to say she has well and truly shunned the orange glow of the fake tan glory days and opted instead for a more polished, classic look.
